WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THE ONLINE COURSE ON RESIN CLIFFS?

Cliffs Technique

I'll explain the course approach, how we'll work, and why it's important to understand technique as a foundation for creation, not as a rigid formula. From there, we'll begin a deeper, more technical and artistic process.
We delve into the creation of cliffs viewed from above in large-format works.

During the course I will guide you step by step so that you understand each phase of the process and can enjoy the resin from a freer, more experimental and conscious place.

Supports and Materials

You will learn how to choose the right supports according to the size and weight of the artwork.

We'll see:

  • Which surfaces are suitable for medium and large formats
  • When to use DMF and when to avoid it
  • Alternatives in wood, okume and plywood canvases
  • Which materials are truly essential and which are optional?

I will also show you alternatives to replace any material if you cannot find it in your country, so that you can take the course wherever you are.

Types of Resins and Pigments

In this section you will learn how to select the right resin for cliff work and understand how it behaves in layers, reliefs and deep areas.

I teach you to respect proportions, to prepare mixtures correctly, and to avoid common mistakes that can ruin a project even when using good materials.

We also delved into the selection and use of pigments, learning how to dose them correctly to achieve natural colors, realistic transparencies, and an authentic sense of depth in the sea and rock.

Security Measures

Working safely with resin is essential.

In this section I'll show you the basic protection measures, how to prepare your workspace, and what to keep in mind to enjoy the process calmly and without risks.

Preparation of the work

Before you start creating, preparation is everything.

Here you will learn how to properly level your support, protect the edges, and prepare your work to receive the resin, avoiding mistakes that can ruin the final result.

Cliff Design

We begin to build the character of the cliff. You will learn to plan the initial design of the work, to understand the composition and natural movement of the rock, and to work with textures from the ground up.

I'll teach you how to make and apply relief pastes correctly and how to prepare the surface using different priming techniques, so that the final result has strength, coherence and a natural finish.

Different Painting Techniques

We delve into the painting techniques that bring realism and depth to the cliffs.

You will learn to work with different coloring and oxidation techniques, understanding how to integrate tones, shadows and nuances without overloading the work.

Each technique is explained step by step so that you understand not only the how, but also the why of each artistic decision.

Colors and Depth of the Sea

You will discover how to choose and combine colors to create balanced, natural, and harmonious seascapes.

Beyond the specific shades, you will learn the logic of the technique so that you can then apply it to any palette and your own style.

You will learn to create seabeds with a real sense of depth, integrating corals and submerged areas that add visual richness to the work.

I'll show you how to work these elements in a balanced way so that they complement the cliff without detracting from its prominence and help create a coherent and vibrant scene.

Giving Life to the Waters

You will learn, through resin, how to create movement and depth in the water.

In this course you will create two complete works, applying two different resin and texturizing techniques, so that you understand how the result varies depending on the way of working and can choose the one that best suits your style.

Overcoming frustration and enjoying the process

Resin doesn't always behave as we expect, and that's also part of the learning process.

In this course I share with you key tips to understand the technique, avoid frustrations and learn to enjoy the creative process, even when something doesn't work out the first time.

Why learn at GreenMaiden?

I am Eva Jurado , artist and founder of GreenMaiden .

I started working with resin when there were no clear courses or training programs.

I learned on my own, through trial and error, wasting materials, losing time, and often facing results that weren't what I was looking for. Even so, there was something about that difficult and unpredictable material that captivated me and pushed me to keep going.

Over the years, and after a great deal of practice, I developed and perfected many of the techniques I teach today. Not because they were fashionable, but because there was nothing on the market that explained how to work with resin in a clear, safe, and artistic way.

GreenMaiden was born from that. From the need to create the space that I would have liked to find when I started.

In my courses I teach you the technique as I apply it in my work, with a structured and honest method, so that you don't make the same mistakes, don't waste materials and can move forward with confidence from the beginning.

My intention is not for you to copy what I do. On the contrary: I want you, once you understand the technique, to find your own artistic language, develop your personal way of creating, and become an artist from your own perspective.
